Lashes Extensions

Vivid Lash & Brows has a unique way of creating their V Classic Lashes to feel lighter and last even longer than the traditional Classics Lashes. Different fibres and a more advanced technique of placement (compared to the traditional Classics) are used to achieve this.

They still create the same natural 'Classics' look but with the added benefits! Look typically compares to 1-2 coats of mascara however can be amped up to look darker like 3-4 coats. Please specify your request.

This is a painless and relaxing procedure which takes between 60-90 minutes. The lashes are water resistant and last indefinitely with refills every 2-4 weeks.

PRE- TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Please wash off all make up prior to service (non-oil base remover preferred).

• It is advised you shower prior to the appointment as water should not be near the eyes at least 4 hours after the service.

• Please stop using any kind of lash conditioner or enhancer 3 days prior to the service (you can resume it 3 days after).

• As the procedure will take up to 2 hours, it is advised you have eaten and gone to the restroom prior to the service. 

AFTERCARE

To Do:

• Use oil free makeup remover.

• Comb Lashes once a day to keep them groomed.

• After showering, blow dry lashes on a COOL setting so they can remain nice and fluffy.

• Wear goggles for swimming.

Avoid:

• Avoid wetting or applying makeup near your lashes 24 hours after application.

• Avoid taking a shower/body rinse within 24 hours of application, even though you do not wet your lashes the steam from shower will affect the adhesive from properly curing.

• Avoid swimming or having a steam bath/ sauna within the first 2 days of the application.

• Avoid Rubbing, picking, pulling out or playing with extensions.

• Avoid using a mechanical eyelash curler.

• Avoid any cream, oil based, or lotion products on or near extensions (which includes make up and make up remover).

• Do not use waterproof mascara, waterproof cosmetics or any eye cosmetics that are 'long wearing' as they require too much handling (and oil based remover) to remove and will compromise the lash bonding in the process.

• Avoid any mascara on Russian Volume lashes as they close up the fans. 

 

MAINTANENCE / REFILLS​

Lashes require maintenance, and refills are needed at 2-4 week intervals to replace the lashes that have either been shed or have outgrown your natural lashes. Don’t forget, at the time the extensions are applied, your natural lashes are each at a different stage in their life cycle so bookings must be made accordingly.

 Maree's refills are allocated by time (minutes), not necessarily weeks. Each Refill has a capped time frame. This is to ensure each appointment runs smoothly and on time and it encourages clients to look after their lashes.

To maximise your lashing time, please arrive to your appointment ON TIME and with CLEAN lashes. Maree only allocates 5 mins for cleaning. Any time delay or extra cleaning needed with run into your lashing time, essentially you will have less lashes applied.

At certain cycles you may feel you have lost more lashes. Please upgrade to the next refill up to ensure you have booked enough time for the extra lashing needed.

REMOVAL​

A professional adhesive remover needs to be applied to safely detach your lashes from the extensions. Avoid attempting to remove you own extensions as you may cause damage to your natural lashes. A trained technician should be able to offer you this service, conditions may apply.

SAFETY

The application of eyelash extensions is a highly specialised skill which requires years of dedication and training. We pride ourselves on continually keeping up with industry trends and learning to remain relevant.

At Vivid Lash & Brows, we participate in the ‘safe sets’ initiative through Xtreme Lashes. This means we ensure the utmost care is taken by changing our adhesive every 1-2 months and ensuring that we are properly isolating every natural lash to avoid 'stickies'.​

Note: Whilst we do use the best quality adhesive and products on the market, in the rare event you do suffer an allergic reaction, please notify us and we offer a free removal within 48 hours. Original lashing fee will NOT be refunded as service and products have already been given and we cannot predict the reaction you may have with our products. It is also important to note that it is possible to develop an allergy to an adhesive over the years- even after years of lashing.

Caution: As this is a growing industry, there are people who may claim to be qualified when they really aren’t. To ensure the health and safety of your eyes and eyelashes, please research your chosen technician’s work and certified background before commencing any work.

 Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long do the extensions last?

Lash extensions can last indefinitely with regular refills. Depending on your lash cycle, refills are recommended every 2-4 weeks to keep them looking their best. Those who look after their lashes tend to keep them the longest!​

2. How long is each appointment?

Initial appointments will require approximately 60-150 mins depending on the type of "set" you have selected. Refills usually takes 30- 90 mins, depending on which 'Refill' is chosen.

3. Can you refill my lashes from another salon?

I am unable to offer refills on work from another technician. I offer a guarantee (conditions apply) on my own lashes and it is impossible to monitor when it will become a mixed set. However, I do offer a free removal if you wanted to book a full new set with me.

4. What if I get an allergic reaction?

Some people can be allergic to either an ingredient in the adhesive (cyanoacrylate) or the eye pads. This is something that we wont know until we try. You may request a skin sensitivity test beforehand (note: costs applies for an additional appointment).

Allergic reactions can happen straight away or can flare up within 48 hours post treatment. In these cases, please notify me immediately and i will offer a free removal. Unfortunately no money will be refunded as the service has already been given.

Also, it is known that a client who had lash extensions for months or years may not initially have any reactions but can develop and allergy to the adhesive later on. Unfortunately once you are allergic to the adhesive, chances are you will be allergic to every brand of lash adhesive.
